Headhunters Salon and Wellness Centre was started by Francois as a Hair Fashion School in 1982 and then became the Kamloops School of Hair Design and Esthetics in 1984. They are located at 334 Seymour Street. The school won many awards over the years, with many graduates starting their own salons.

Francois Lambert
Renowned Francois Lambert – stylist, educator, entrepreneur, business owner of Headhunters Salon and Wellnesss – welcomes you to his salon. Francois is known for his great work, friendship, and service within the Kamloops community over decades. He has won many hearts including a distinguished service award by Kamloops City Council in 2016. He has also had the honor of styling and cutting the hair of well-known celebrity names such as Marilyn Monroe. Over the past 10 years he has provided hair styling for many fund-raising events including: Doctors Without Borders, The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and The Old Purse Project. Francois has owned multiple businesses: Headhunters Salon Spa, Headhunters School of Hair & Esthetics, The Mongolian Grill, The Kamloops Rockets, Soprano’s Restaurant, Casual Affair, Exit One, and Silver Fox Jewelry.
Darlene E. Masi
Darlene, who is the face of Headhunters Salon Spa today, hopes that your experience at the salon leaves you smiling. Darlene has been practicing hair, make-up, and esthetician services since 1978. She has an extensive list of skills: not only is she a certified esthetician, stylist, and nail technician, but she also has been trained in braiding, braid extensions, wig and hair enhancements, and hair and skin disease disorders. She was an instructor at the Kamloops’ School of Hair and Esthetics, as well as at the Headhunters School of Beauty, for 23 years. Dar was also an instructor at the Kamloops Interior Academy School Spa and Salon in 2019. She has continued her training over the years through multiple seminars and trade shows within the industry to stay up to date on trends. Darlene holds a Red Seal Cosmetologist/Esthetician Qualification Certificate from BC’s ITAC, and is a member of the BC Beauty Council.
Mirtha
My name is Mirtha and I have 28 years of experience as a hair stylist. I have learned from leading professionals in the hair industry, and I have a certificate from the Cosmetologists Association of British Columbia. For over 10 years I owned my own salon, participated in hair shows, and studied in colour classes to learn tricks and techniques of the hair trade that have refined my practice. I prioritize, when working with my clients and their hair, taking the time to hear their wants and the look they want to achieve. My goal is to have every client leave my chair feeling their best. I want their hair to complement their best features and suit their unique needs and hair type. I would like to extend a special thanks to my former and current clients for many years of faithful service. I welcome new clients to book me at Headhunters Salon!
